Legend of measures for Women
back width
Measure from one end of shoulder to the other, passing well flat in the back.
Chest size
Pass the meter to the most prominent point of the chest, very horizontally. Do not tighten too tight, breathe naturally.
Sub-heading
Right under the chest, where the bra starts. Be well adjusted but without compressing.
waist size
Measure at the hollowest place above the navel. Add a finger thickness to keep comfort, especially at the end of the day.
pelvic size
Measure mid-distance between waist and hips. Add a thick finger to prevent it from being too tight.
Hip rotation
Measure to the widest point of the buttocks. Keep your feet together, and leave a margin finger.
thigh circumference
Measure the upper thigh, without too tight. The meter must be able to move slightly.
Leg length
From waist to bottom of ankle. For a bermuda or short, measure also from the size to the desired length. Get help for more precision.
Legend of measures for Men
back width
Measure from one shoulder point to another, passing well flat in the back. Stand straight, arms released along the body.
Chest size
Pass the metre around the bust at the widest point, often at the level of the pectorals. Breathe normally, without inflating the chest.
waist size
At the hollowest place of the belly, usually just above the navel. Add a finger under the meter for extra comfort, especially at the end of the day.
pelvic size
Measure midway between waist and hips, around the top of the pelvis. The meter must be horizontal and not too tight.
Arm length
From the highest point of the shoulder (where the handle starts) to the desired length of the handle (sleeve for long, mid-arm for short). Measure along the relaxed arm.
Tower of biceps
Around the arm, halfway between shoulder and elbow. Bras relaxed, do not contract. Leave a light game under the meter.
thigh circumference
Measure the upper thigh at the widest point. The meter must not be too tight; Leave some room for ease.
Leg length
From the natural waist to the ankle, along the outside of the leg.
For shorts or bermuda: also take the length from the waist to the bottom of the desired garment. Ideally, get help for more precision.
